Resolving Resolution Confusion

IF ANYTHING is more certain than income taxes, it's the fact that New Year's resolutions rarely bear fruit. In fact 99 per cent of them scarcely make it to the blossom stage and have terminally withered on the branch within a few days or weeks of being germinated.

They have everything going against them. They're often ill-thought out, usually a last-minute idea, and, almost invariably, they're the same old things that people have consistently failed to address in their lives on many previous occasions. Add to that the facts that they often involve giving up something people enjoy or taking up something they don’t - you could hardly come up with a better recipe for failure.

Planning now, rather than winging it on New Year's Eve, and engaging the help of a Coach who has NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), psychological and hypnotic skills, can drastically increase your chances of making changes that works.

The first thing a Coach can do is help you decide what you really want, not what you immediately think you want or feel as though you ought to want.

Having decided on a realistic, desirable and achievable outcome, your Coach can help you devise short- medium- and long-term strategies that will enable you to reach your goal. A Coach with hypnotherapy and NLP skills can also help you with the motivation you will need to stick to your resolutions and achieve your aims.

With this New Year also being the start of a new decade, why not take the opportunity to make some real resolutions for bettering your life - and put a plan in place for achieving them.

You never know how far a change will go.
